One Critical Thing Salespeople Aren’t Doing During COVID-19

One critical thing many salespeople aren’t doing right now during COVID-19 is…..PERSONAL TOUCH.

I have had many salespeople reach out to me during COVID-19 to sell their product or services, but 100% of them have contacted me via LinkedIn messenger, Instagram messenger or text messaging.

Not one single salesperson has called me on the phone and given me personal touch.

Guys, when you have a lead, CALL THEM ON THE PHONE if you can’t meet them in person.

Here is the order of the most effective to least effective way to approach people:

In Person – this will always give you the most results, and it’s the most personal.

Over the phone – Second most personal approach and you can cover objections in real time. You can also convert a phone call to a video conference!

Text message – Only use text to connect – but then quickly convert to a phone call or in person meeting.

Email – As soon as you are relying on email, your results are going to drop off dramatically. Only use this as a LAST RESORT

Social media – Just don’t ever do it.

Take pride in the fact that you are a sharp, friendly, professional sales PERSON. Ask your prospects how they are doing. Let them hear the compassion in your voice. Stand apart from the crowd and give everyone the personal touch!!
